With death on his heels, Mozart wrote his Requiem. Even on his deathbed, he dictated to a pupil how the work should be finished. But even though they were whispered by the master himself, the added pieces pale in comparison to what Mozart himself had managed to complete. This performance, commemorating the bombing of Rotterdam, sticks to the real Mozart, supplemented with poems and Gregorian chants.
