Love takes center stage in this installment of The Living Room, the popular concert series by the Great Broadcasting Choir. The choir sings of the many facets of love in songs of longing and loss. One of the best radio choirs in the world joins forces with the Dianto Reed Quintet and pianist Nino Gvetadze. Perfect choral singing guaranteed.
Unrequited love
The love song has many forms in which both ecstasy and frustration can shine through. Unknown is where Brahms got the inspiration for his folksy Liebeslieder-Walzer, but many claim that his unrequited love for Clara Schumann is behind it. It is precisely that longing for love that Here, There and Everywhere by The Beatles sings of.
Reed instruments and keys
For this "love lecture," the Groot Omroepkoor enters into a special relationship with the Dianto Reed Quintet: five Spanish musicians who met while studying in Amsterdam. The quintet now excels in special concerts in which dance and other theatrical forms are not shunned. Nino Gvetadze is the rock behind the keys.
