Join us for the 8th Great Sing Along Concert!
The 8th Meezingconcert is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026 in TivoliVredenburg. Together with the Groot Omroepkoor and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and under the inspiring direction of conductor Martin Wright, we will perform two top works from the choral repertoire: Cantique de Jean Racine and Gabriel Fauré's Requiem (1900 version). Again for this edition, we will rehearse in the morning and the concert will take place mid-afternoon.

Discount for friends and students
If you are a Friend of the Groot Omroepkoor or the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, you can benefit from a substantial discount: you will then pay not € 47.50 but only € 27.50 for your participation in this unique event. The discount also applies to young people up to 30 years of age. It is no longer possible to order an additional discounted ticket for someone who is not (yet) a friend.

Workshops
As in other years, we are giving you the opportunity to participate in a free workshop. The workshop is an extra service for participants. You can also participate in the Great Singing Concert without attending the workshop.

Frequently asked questions about the Groot Meezingconcert in Utrecht and preceding workshops in Hilversum
I already know the works well. Can I join the concert alone?
Yes, you can, but you will not have gotten the conductor's comments from that morning and this can be disruptive to those who did record it. Not joining the rehearsal also does not change the participation fee, which remains the same.
I have no experience singing in a choir, can I join? / I can't read notes. Can I participate? / How high is the required level?
Anyone who loves to sing may apply. However, we do advise you to prepare your parts with or without the help of sites such as Cyberbass.com, choirparties.nl, coria.nl or practice CDs through Broekmans & Van Poppel (more on this in the question 'how do I get my music')
I am coming by train. Are there any directions available?
Route on foot to Vredenburgkade 11, 3511 WC Utrecht and information on parking and public transportation is here to find.
At which entrance should I be at TivoliVredenburg?
The entrance on Vredenburgkade, Central Hall, where the box offices are also located.
Is there a checkroom?
A guarded checkroom is available where you can put all your belongings. The cost is 2 euros. You are not allowed to bring coats inside.
Will there be coffee and/or tea during the break during the day and possibly sandwiches or do I have to provide this myself?
Coffee/tea will be provided free of charge in the foyers of the main hall during intermission. There is a short break when the orchestra/choir rehearses. You can then bring your own or buy something in the Gegeven Paard, among other places, also in the central Hall.
Can I sign up with a larger group or with my entire choir?
You can register for up to 5 people per registration. The person who registers multiple people via his/her email will be sent all the necessary E-tickets after payment is made by the registrant. You can then forward them to the various participants.
Practice shows that signing up individually works better because then the various email addresses are known and information we send arrives directly to those involved. If your entire choir wants to participate, it is therefore advisable that each choir member register individually.
Ticketshop.co.uk
We are once again working with Ticketshop.com this year. Tickets for the Meezingconcert are offered and managed by Ticketkantoor. Ticketkantoor is thus the official ticket partner to sell tickets for our event. The electronic payment is handled by Mollie Payments. You can therefore find that name on your bank statement. You will receive an e-ticket with barcode by mail. You can print this ticket or have it scanned from your smartphone (set to high resolution) at the Singing Desk. On the ticket you will also find your chosen workshop date.
Paid but did not receive an E-ticket?
Normally, the system sends the tickets by mail immediately after receiving confirmation of payment. Sometimes it takes a little longer for this confirmation to arrive. But after a few hours they really should be there. The reasons for not receiving them are usually: the message ended up in your "junk mail" folder, or you entered a wrong address (typo in the email address).
Are you sure you have paid and after several hours you do not find Ticketkantoor's message with tickets anywhere? Then contact Ticketkantoor through the contact form found on their site: www.ticketkantoor.nl

Is there a divisional classification?
There is no division classification.
Tickets purchased, but I can't participate.
Returning tickets once purchased is not possible. There will be no refund or compensation. You may choose to resell the tickets and music. In that case, you must ensure that we are informed of this change due to a possible change of voice. You can send an e-mail to meezingconcert@omroepmuziek.nl
Tickets purchased, but the organization cancels the concert.
Then a refund of the paid tickets will follow. On your bank account you will then find the description "ticket office" or "mollie payments"
Can choir members sit together during rehearsal/concert or are they assigned by voice group / can I choose where to sit?
Grading is by voice group in the boxes indicated. There is no placating. So within the voice group you can sit together if there is room for it. However, it is possible that during the concert you will be seated somewhere else than at the rehearsal because there is no fixed seating, except for the reserved seats for participants with mobility problems who have indicated this in advance.
Will the concert be in prescribed concert attire?
No concert attire is required.
Is TivoliVredenburg wheelchair friendly?
Yes. We ask that you reserve a seat via sing-alongconcert@omroepmuziek so that a TivoliVredenburg staff member can guide you to the correct location.
For disabled parking, TivoliVredenburg recommends using the Rijnkade parking garage. Please check with the parking garage for availability of spaces. For more information: click here.
If you have difficulty walking (that is, if you are definitely unable to climb stairs) you can ask for a reserved seat within the box of your voice type at meezingconcert@omroepmuziek.nl.
May I take (professional) photos?
No professional photographic, video and audio recording equipment will be permitted to be brought inside without permission. However, consumer cameras will be allowed.
By professional photo and film equipment we mean devices with interchangeable lenses or SLRs.
Perhaps in cooperation with TivoliVredenburg, recordings will be made again this year for promotional purposes and for YouTube, among others. A disclaimer is included with the registration so you are aware that footage on which you are visible may be distributed.
Sharing on Facebook and other social media is, of course, great. However, please be considerate of your fellow singers regarding too much cell phone use during rehearsal.
Can I bring a guest?
Unfortunately, no. There is a limited number of public tickets available. These can only be ordered through the TivoliVredenburg site This will not be available until later in the season on the site of TivoliVredenburg to be found.
Questions about the workshops in Hilversum
Workshops for the Groot Meezingconcert 2026 will be held at Heuvellaan Hilversum, Heuvellaan 33 on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 and Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Can I change workshops if I am unable to attend on the specified date?
Unfortunately no, only in real emergencies can be exchanged by mutual agreement. Requests can only be made via meezingconcert@omroepmuziek.nl
Can I park at Heuvellaan Hilversum?
