Esther Kouwenhoven

Soprano Esther Kouwenhoven graduated cum laude in 2018 with Lena Lootens at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. After her studies, she performed the role of Second Witch in Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte and Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto in a tour of Flanders. Esther has been a soloist in several oratorios and in 2018 she sang Mahler 4 under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington. In 2019, Esther received the Ingeborg Köberle prize from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Esther was a prize winner in the Sweet Sorrow Award (2021), international 'Bell'Arte' singing competition (2018) and the 'Bach Vocalist Competition' (2016). She is currently coached by Hanneke de Wit.
