Ioan Micu

Ioan Micu is a tenor in the Groot Omroepkoor. He was born in Romania and received his musical education at the Cluj-Napoca Conservatory. 

After completing his studies, he received a contract from the opera of Cluj-Napoca. This gave him the opportunity to sing in other Romanian and foreign opera houses, including Russia, Bulgaria and Italy.
In the oratorio repertoire, Ioan has built up a wide repertoire. He has participated in several radio and television productions. From 1987 to 1989, Ioan Micu was with the Bremen Opera and sang as a guest in France, Denmark and in various German opera houses. In 1989, Ioan settled in the Netherlands. Here he has participated in opera and oratorio productions under conductors such as Kenneth Montgomery, Edo de Waart, Henry Lewis and Gaetano Delogu. In addition, he has participated in numerous concerts in the Netherlands and abroad.
