Yuko Yagishita

Yuko Yagishita is a soprano in the Groot Omroepkoor. She was born in 1955 in Tokyo. She studied at the Tokyo Art University, where she graduated in 1980. 

She received lessons from Grace Hoffmann and Konrad Richter. Yuko has performed as a soloist with the Staatsoper in Stuttgart. In Berlin, she has sung with the Deutsche Oper, RIAS Kammerchor and SDR Kammerchor. 

She has given recitals in Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Tübingen, Tokyo and Jakarta. Yuko was a finalist in the Hugo Wolf Competition and in the Mozart Competition in Salzburg. Since 1989 Yuko has sung in the Groot Omroepkoor. She also works with the Basho Ensemble and gives recitals in the Netherlands and abroad.
