Stravinsky in the Matinee
On 22 December 1979, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Groot Omroepkoor conducted by American conductor Michael Tilson Thomas played a Stravinksy programme in the ZaterdagMatinee, then still broadcast by VARA. The programme included the Requiem Canticles, the Symphony of Psalms and the Variations for Orchestra, "Aldous Huxley in memoriam".
