Loes Groot Antink

After studying French and German in Tilburg, soprano Loes Groot Antink began her vocal studies at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. She studied with Wout Oosterkamp. During her studies she followed master classes with a.o. Emma Kirkby and Anthony Rolfe-Johnson. She was also a member of the opera class, where she worked with director Carl van der Plas, among others.
Loes Groot Antink graduated in 1991. She subsequently took lessons with Marianne Dieleman and Bernarda Fink. At present she is coached by Barbara Pearson and Peter Nilsson.
Since 1998 Loes has been a permanent member of the Groot Omroepkoor. She also sang for many years in the Amsterdam Baroque Choir under the direction of Ton Koopman.
As a soloist she has sung in Mozart's Requiem, Mass in C minor and Exultate Jubilate; in Elias by Mendelssohn, the Te Deum from the Quattro Pezzi Sacri by Verdi, the Miserere by Allegri, Judas Maccabaeus by Handel and the Christmas Oratorio by J.S. Bach.
She also sang Belinda and Dido in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell, as well as the role of Cathérine in Le mariage aux lanternes by Jacques Offenbach.
