On Saturday, February 17, 2024, the 6th edition of the successful Great Sing Along Concert will take place. By popular demand, the program includes Johannes Brahms' subdued Ein deutsches Requiem. Come sing along to this beautiful music!

You will meet the familiar faces of the musicians of the Groot Omroepkoor and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra led by Martin Wright, who also conducted the previous five editions, at this Great Sing Along Concert. During rehearsal on the day of the concert, you will be accompanied by Ben Martin Weijand, regular pianist of the Groot Omroepkoor. The solo parts in the Requiem will be sung by our own choir members.

Free workshops
In preparation for the Great Sing-Along Concert, two free workshops will be organized. For the 6th Great Sing-Along Concert, these are scheduled for Saturday, November 25, 2023 and Saturday, January 20, 2024. NB: Due to the great interest of former participants in the pre-registration offered to them, the workshop of January 20 is already sold out. There is still room on November 25.
The workshops will take place in the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep in Hilversum from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm. When booking a ticket, you can indicate whether you want to participate in the workshop that is still available. There is room for a maximum of 400 participants per workshop. As usual, singers from the Netherlands Radio Choir participate in these workshops.

Registration
On Sept. 22 from 6 p.m., the ticket office will open and you can register to participate in the Great Singing Concert and, if desired, in the free workshop on Nov. 25, 2023. Registration is possible through this link.
Participants of previous Groot Meezingconcerten and Friends of the Groot Omroepkoor and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra will have the chance to be the first to sign up starting September 22. For other participants registration starts on September 29.

Discount for friends and students
If you are a Friend of the Groot Omroepkoor or the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra you can benefit from a substantial discount: you will not pay the normal price of € 42,50 but only € 25 for participation in this unique event. This discount also applies to students. Please note: to this is added the cost of purchasing the music if you do not already own it.
