Gong (first work from Solar trilogy)
Luuk Tuinder received his singing diploma in 1990 from the Groningen Conservatory. After this he continued his studies privately with Pieter van den Berg. During this time he took a master class with Cristina Deutekom, among others.
As a soloist Luuk is very versatile and could be heard in operas, oratorios, masses, passion plays and cantatas. He sang the Christ Passion in the passions of J.S. Bach and could be heard in the Requiem's of Mozart, Fauré, Duruflé and Brahms.
He has also earned his spurs in the opera business. Since 1990, he has participated in productions in the Frisian village of Spanga. He sang, among other things, the role of Pistola in Verdi's Falstaff and was Betto and Talpa in Puccini's triptych Il Trittico. He also sang the role of Rodolpho in a concert performance of La Sonnambula by Bellini.
Besides these solo activities Luuk is a permanent member of the Groot Omroepkoor and Capella Frisiae. He also works as a singing teacher and is conductor of two choirs in the province of Groningen
